Organizational History
Pawtucket Congregational Church was founded in 1828. On January 1, 2012, Pawtucket Congregational and Sayles Memorial Churches were legally merged to become Chapel Street Congregational Church in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
Scope of Collection
This collection contains records pertaining to the formation of the church, bylaws, fellowship and history of the church. Included in this collection are financial records, annual reports, and records of the clerk, the treasurer, pastors, and various committees. Also included are membership listings, 19th century relations, and records pertaining to the church's merger. Additionally there are two boxes of materials from Central Falls Congregational Church included in this collection.
